Pet Society for Shopaholic

Pet Society, abbreviated as PS among game players, is a flash based web game designed by Playfish. It is believed that PS was first released in the second half of 2008 and keep growing and developing till present. Although PS came out with the idea of free little game on Facebook, Playfish is supposed to earn some revenue from advertisement to pay for its daily maintenance fee. Probably in the second half of 2009, Playfish created a kind of “cash shop” in PS which literally means that you have to pay real money for those virtual items sold inside that store. By doing so, Playfish can make real money faster through more ways and at the time, that won’t affect general players too much since you don’t need to purchase anything inside the cash shop to play. However, Playfish recently disabled (fixed) a so call “mysterious box glitch” which originally bring steady and unlimited income to players who don’t buy game coins by real money. It doesn’t mean that you can’t earn game coins through some “legal” ways, such as visiting friends, playing with your pet, scrubbing your pet or racing in the stadium, nevertheless, those time consuming procedures can only provide you the among of money far less than what you actually want. So players have to “cheat” in order to get enough game coins for their desired items in the wish list. Once Playfish removed this glitch, items in the normal store would be no longer affordable for general players. Only if you play hard and add people you don’t know on Facebook in order to visit them to get coins reward you might have a chance to own all “this week special” items within that specific week and still have a hard time to get everything you want. All I would like to say is that I treat PS as a fabulous game for shopaholic before but now, I totally lose this way to comfort the shopaholic soul inside the heart of every woman. I am sad in the end. “PAYFISH” some players are yelling.
